Top awards come home to Colorado |

During National Association of Landscape Professionals’ annual LANDSCAPES conference last week in Louisville, 3 ALCC member firms received top NALP landscape awards and ALCC’s Kristen Fefes, CAE was recognized by Lawn & Landscape magazine for her exceptional leadership within the industry. ALCC Executive Director Kristen Fefes, CAE, was among 4 industry pros honored by Lawn & Landscape with a 2015 Leadership Award “for going above and beyond in their dedication to staff, customers and industry." Fefes was the only association executive to be recognized with the Leadership Award. Timberline Landscaping, Inc., Colorado Springs received a Grand Award in the category of erosion control and ecological restoration for the Manitou Incline Trail Restoration, Phase I. The company also received two Merit Awards for work at The Broadmoor Hotel and The Olympic Training Center. Timberline was also recognized for their safety record and having the most Landscape Industry Certified Individuals on their team. Timberline’s owner Tim Emick and several team members were on hand to receive the award. Lifescape Associates, Denver, received a Grand Award for Grand award from the National Association of Landscape Professionals Awards of Excellence Program for the Castle Pines Residence design. Project manager Mike Ransom, designer Leanne Ostheimer Company owner Michael Hupf, accepted the award. Terracare Associates, Littleton, received an award for maintenance of Rampart Range Metro District in Lone Tree. The firm also received awards for three other projects outside Colorado.
